Spinnaker Bay Brewing, founded in 2012 by Janet Spindler and Elissa Pryor, is currently Washington state’s only 100% woman owned microbrewery. Located in the Hillman City neighborhood of Seattle, we create big flavorful beers with attitude.
The image to the left is a family photo of the owner/brewer, Janet. Janet’s grandmother is a baby in the photo, and her great grandmother is the woman who brewed the barrel of beer shown. Written on the original photograph are the words “What is home without beer?” This hangs on the wall in our taproom, come visit us to see it and ask Janet more about her long history with brewing!
If you’d like to see a larger peek inside please view the video on our page at Yelp. It was a hopping night, we were thrilled to be joined by Steve Ryals with live music and so many neighbors.
We are located at 5718 Rainier Ave S., Seattle WA 98118 (map) in the Hillman City neighborhood (1/2 mile south of Columbia City). Our phone number is 206-725-BEER (2337). If we’re not in to answer your call a recorded message will tell you about our hours and you can leave us a message.
We also offer growler refills, Mexican Coca-Cola and San Pellegrino sparkling water. You are welcome to bring in food to enjoy while sipping your beer, either from one of our visiting food trucks or wherever you wish. We also now have delicious individual sized pies from SODO Pizza on our menu.
If you’d like to arrange for a keg rental or keg fill we’ll need two weeks notice, thanks.
